An open-source chrome extension that will solve NFT Rugs, Fake Projects & Fake Mint Sites, which people constantly fall for. It is not uncommon to see projects getting compromised and users minting the wrong website/contract, etc. A safer environment around NFTs has to be built. Unfortunately, due to no financial incentive, it is not surprising to see no one willing to approach these issues.

We’ll introduce, Safermints.io, an open-source Chrome Extension, which will work in collaboration with project founders and Alpha Council (community voted members from Alpha Sharks and other Alpha Groups in exchange for Shark Tokens & Other perks).

• Project founders will be able to request indexing and whitelist their domain and contract on safermint.io. Initially, we’ll take the initiative to reach out to projects for the same.

• Alpha Council will be able to vote on potential rugs to warn users with proper reasoning.

• No data processing will be done via backend servers other than downloading project data, whitelisted mint websites and contracts to maintain users’ privacy.

• Users will get notifications of any compromised projects.

• Any non-whitelisted contract will show a warning

• In cases of confirmed rugs/scams, transactions will be blocked.

Being open-source, will allow for anyone to contribute and help make the project better. All contributions to the project will be rewarded with shark tokens and posted on safermint.io/hall-of-fame.
